Spring 2011 Wrap-Up

We’ve reached the end of another semester. First of all, we’d all like to give our congratulations to our lovely graduating seniors, Zoe *Rizumi* Freckleton and Celine *Talea* Chen.
We can’t thank you ladies enough for everything you’ve done. Thanks for being such amazing role models to us younger sisters, and for making KDPhi the strong organization it is today. We really hope you guys come back and visit frequently!
Second, a huge thank you to the entire house for all your effort and enthusiasm this semester. It was kind of crazy, especially when NESC rolled around, but we pulled through together! I hope everyone has an amazing summer, and I can’t wait until next semester!

Holding Up Half the Sky

We wanted to thank everyone who came out to our Chai Chat to discuss the role of Asian-American women in today’s society. We hope that it was as enlightening and eye-opening for you as it was for us. NESC Recap

This recap is a bit delayed – but we’re all still recovering from NESC. Thank you so much to all the sisters who endured such long car rides to come to Philadelphia, I hope you guys enjoyed the city! We’re still working on posting those scavenger hunt photos, but congratulations to Rugters University for winning!
A special thank you goes to Iris K. Shim, Director of The House of Suh, for speaking at our workshop. I’m sure many of the girls were inspired by your work and spirit.

Only 4 days until NESC! We’ve all put a lot of work into planning this conference, and we’re so excited to see all our sister from other chapters. We’ve got an incredible host of speakers lined up, including the amazing Kelly Tsai, the renowed voice also known as www.yellowgurl.com.
Kelly Zen-Yie Tsai is a Chicago-born, Brooklyn-based Chinese Taiwanese American spoken word artist who fights for cultural pride and survival through how she spits and how she lives.
Not to mention our party, Fusion Jam, cohosted with our brother fraternity, the Sigma Chapter of Lambda Phi Epsilon.
